BotCon '09

It's been brought to my attention that BotCon is going to be in Pasadena, CA, so I may end up going. I'm looking foward to this since it combines two of my favorite things: spending money on old toys and driving for several hours.

Wait...

I mean, Transformers and not having to travel too far. I need to look up some more stuff on it, see if there's anything special I need to do, but hopefully I'll see some cool stuff there. I may even get out my favorite "Me Grimlock King" shirt.

Fable 2 DLC "See the Future"

This came up on Thursday and it's very interesting. Not as long as the Knothole Island stuff, but still fun. You get to see Oakvale as it was between the end of Fable 1 and the beginning of Fable 2, though there's not much to do there once you accomplish your main task. There's also a new boss, the Undead Necromancer. He might be hard if you don't have a lot of levels, but my character had maxed-out stats even before fighting him. He went down like a chump. The actual "See the Future" part is an interesting piece of the story, but it's so short there didn't seem to be much point to it. You get a neat royalty uniform out of it though. Finally, there's the Colliseum, the perfect place for players who just want to kill, kill, kill. Almost every kind of enemy you've fought thus far is here (except Shards, trolls, and bosses) and waiting to fight you. You get five minutes (more if you use your Slow Time spell a lot) to kill as many enemies as you can (hit Flit Switches for point multipliers and kick chickens for bonus points) and you get prizes based on how well you did. 15,000 points gets you a Royal Scepter weapons (easy if you're high levelled) and if you defeat the Undead Necromancer (requires A LOT of Slow Time) you get some achievement points. You can keep doing the Colliseum over and over to get regular item prizes too.

There's also new potions to change your dog from Mutt to three other types: Huskie, Dalmation, and Bloodhound. In addition to changing the dog's appearance, the potions make him a better fighter if he isn't already the highest rank.
