Description

For a while, I thought about what a normal Gelgoog equipped with a GN Drive would look like and rather than just slap a GN Drive on the back of a regular Gelgoog, I decided to try making it look slightly more designed than just slapped together.

I actually made this over a month ago, but never got around to coloring it. After doing the Exia and Dynames Gelgoogs, I decided to at least post an uncolored version and give it a little history.

Model Number: GNM-000
Code Name: Null Gelgoog
Equipment: GN Drive (early version), Trans-AM (early version)
Weapons: 1 x GN Beam Rifle, 1 x GN Twin Beam Sword, 1 x GN Shield

In the early days of Aeolia Schenberg's plan to end warfare, it was originally proposed that Celestial Being be a full-fledged army rather than an elite group of mobile suits. When the first Gundam mobile suit, the 0 Gundam, was being developed, Celestial Being's engineers began thinking about how to refine its design for mass-production. Development on the Null Gelgoog, named after one of the chief designers, came to a quick halt however after the organization realized that the GN Drive couldn't be produced in the numbers required for an entire army.

All work on the Null Gelgoog came to a halt to focus Celestial Being's resources towards the development of new mobile suits that emphasized dominating power over cost-effective performance, thus leading to the creation of the second generation of Gundams. The Gelgoog concept was shelved until after Operation: Fallen Angels, the United Nations' mission to destroy Celestial Being and its Gundams, and the Celestial Being support squadron Zion needed a way to wage war on the newly-founded Earth Federation.

The Null's proposed weapons would have been similar to the 0 Gundam except it would use a two-bladed beam sword that could function like an energy Defense Rod if need be. The Null would also likely have been able to use the Trans-AM mode since it had been originally designed to use an original-model GN Drive. Overall, its performance would have been been between the first and second generation Gundams, though this still would have been far more powerful than most mobile suits fielded during the beginning of Celestial Being's interventions.

Some reports suggest that development on the Null Gelgoog had gotten to the point where a partial frame had been constructed, though there is no hard data available to current Celestial Being operatives that proves the Null existed outside of a design schematic.
